Hello Virgin Mobile,
“Earth without art is just EH!”. We need art, because it motivates us to change and develop. There has always been a lot of talent in Saudi Arabia, but over the past few years people have really started to focus on encouraging and fostering that talent and making it possible for Saudi artists to do “the impossible”. Because talent alone isn’t enough – if you don’t have the chance to develop and enhance that talent, you’ll never live up to your full potential.
I’m happy and proud that I was selected as the Creative Collective filmmaker. I hope you’ll enjoy viewing my posts and being part of my blog.
Now, let me introduce myself. My name is Mohammed Baqer and ever since I was 9 years old I’ve been filming my friends play instead of playing with them. I borrowed cameras from everywhere possible. I like to observe and then tell the story of what I see using film and music. My favorite type of stories are those told through people’s eyes and their expressions – no sound or words needed. I am addicted to eyes! Old wise looks, young hopeful glances and everything in between.
Currently I’m enjoying my days as a freelancer corporate videographer in Saudi Arabia. I’ve made videos for AL Safi Danone, Nadec, Aramco and many more. I like to do projects with small groups of people, mostly only me! My latest project is a documentary about a Wojhah photography trip to Nepal, which was definitely the highlight of my year. I will leave you with a link here:
I love challenging myself in every project. So hopefully you’ll be there to watch me develop my talents in this blog.
